The woman who inspired my journey

Today I want to introduce a special person – my Aunt Vuin. She is the woman who ignited my love for embroidery and continues to inspire me every day.

My aunt has always been a master of her craft. She started out as a seamstress, creating beautiful garments with precision and care, but what really made her unique was her embroidery skills. She dedicated her entire life to honing this skill, putting her heart into every stitch of fabric she made. Even now, in retirement, she embroiders – not because she has to, but because it is her passion. It is a part of her.

As a child, I always admired her work. Since we lived in different parts of the country, I only saw her during summer vacations, but those meetings left a deep impression on me. It was enchanting to watch how her hands moved skillfully, transforming thread into art. In those moments, my love for embroidery took root, although I didn’t understand it at the time.

When I founded Seriha, she was the first to encourage me. And despite her age, she offered to help as a craftswoman. Her pace may have slowed down, but her skills and dedication remain the same. In addition to her beautiful embroidery work, she also shares with me the traditions, techniques and values that make this art unique.

Seriha exists because she passed on to me a passion that I didn't understand as a child. Every piece we make carries this legacy – a story of art, family and love woven into every stitch of fabric.
